What does Skin Needling treat?

Fine lines, wrinkles, acne, scarring, broken capillaries, pigmentation and stretch marks. In a nutshell, Skin Needling basically repairs, restores and reconditions the skin so all cells function as they should. (Sebaceous glands slow down and sebum production is reduced treating acne. Collagen and elastin gets boosted plumping fine lines, wrinkles and scars. Melanocytes are targeted to rectify excessive skin pigment). It is also one of the only anti-ageing treatments that is safe and successful to treat around your delicate eye area! An amazing result driven treatment for overall skin rejuvenation!

How does Skin Needling work?

The Dermapen 4, delivers microscopic needles into your skin at an extremely fast pace. The needling part only takes 8-10 minutes and is only a slight discomfort to most. This triggers the skin to repair through its own healing process. It's also important to note that our Skin Needling is performed within a relaxing facial. It's quite a different skin needling experience compared to most salons.

How important is my skincare at home?

Home care is very important to maintain and enhance your skin results. A 30spf or higher sunscreen must be worn everyday after needling. Think of needling as a marathon for your skin. If your skin is not healthy before your first treatment you may not get the results you were hoping for. At DayDream we stock O Cosmedics. Is there any downtime?

This is a very common question but you will be pleasantly surprised to read that there is none! Of course your skin may be a little red after the treatment but with the use of SPF Cover Recover, (foundation sunscreen), you are able to go back to work/play straight after.

How many treatments will I need and how often?

Improvements in the skin can be seen after just 1 skin needling treatment but a minimum of 3 is required for more significant results. However I do always recommend a series of 6 for the best possible results when treating a specific concern. Or if ageing is your concern you may want to consider Skin Needling when your skin needs a pick me up.  Most of our clients have been alternating Skin Needling with our relaxing O Cosmedics facials every 4-6 weeks to target both derelaxation and results!

Depending on what skin concern we are treating, skin needling can be done every 4-8 weeks. I will go through a skin plan with you on your first visit to the studio and we can have a herbal tea together and talk more about your specific skin concerns. It is important to know that I will be here to guide you through this every step of the way.
